The Battle Droid, specifically the B1 model, is a mass-produced droid soldier used primarily by the Trade Federation and later the Confederacy of Independent Systems (the Separatists) in the Star Wars galaxy.

These droids are characterized by their simplistic design, tan color scheme, and monotonous vocal patterns. Deployed in vast numbers, B1 Battle Droids form the backbone of the Separatist army during the Clone Wars. They are often used as cannon fodder due to their low cost and expendability. Their first appearance was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

While individually weak and easily defeated, their sheer numbers can overwhelm even skilled Jedi Knights and clone troopers. Commanded by more advanced tactical droids and organic leaders, the B1 Battle Droid's role is to provide a seemingly endless wave of opposition.
